I am going to send a reading paper with Dr. Seuss books on it. Whenever your child reads one of the books on the list or finds one that is not on the list, they mark it with Love it or liked it or did not like it.
When they have read them all or at the end of the unit, (end of November) bring the papers back to the library. Each week at library, I will give them a Dr. Seuss fun adventure to try or a challenge. As they complete each challenge, they will get a fish, or a cat hat on the bulletin board.
At the end of November we will have a fun Seussville Party and we may even watch The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.
This is totally voluntary on the children’s part, so don’t stress out over it. It’s just a fun way to read fun books. Feel free to wander into the library and check out Seussville. At home on your computer a really fun site is www.seussville.com

If you have any questions, give me a call at school.
Thanks
Mrs. Lisa Walburger, Librarian
PS. If your child read or watched James and The Giant Peach this summer, send a picture of some place he went this summer and send it to school for the James and the Giant Peach bulletin board.
