Grade 6 Newspaper Article Writing

Grade 6 is currently working on writing newspaper articles. This is one of the writing requirements for the PAT in June. We have studied a lead and discussed in depth what a lead is. We are working on writing articles focused on being informative and entertaining. We struggle at times with understanding how newspaper writing is different than writing a story. We will hopefully master our newspaper article writing and publish a school newspaper in December. I will choose our strongest writers to assist me with the editing process.
