Math to the next level

The new math curriculum has given the students different techniques to aid in their understanding of math concepts. the students should have a solid understanding of what multipication is and should be able to expain what they understand multiplication to be. With this understanding the students can move to the next level. In class we will be doing mad minutes. This will be another strategy of using multiplication in their math work and life. The more help from home the better. Flash cards work great and can be purchased at the dollar store or they can be downloaded off the internet. Just search for them on google. I think, in most cases, the student will find this tool very rewarding.
